Exclusive search for a rapidly growing SaaS and fitness focused company expanding into the US. PE backed by a large Global PE firm and acquiring large number of companies while also growing organically. Excellent opportunity to build a lean team, get in on the ground floor (of the US expansion effort), work with proven C-suite and top notch PE firm. This role will be located in DC.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop accounting staff in the US
  • Supervision of the monthly, quarterly, annual closes with all supporting workpapers
  • Preparation of periodic GAAP financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses as required by the CFO.
  • Completion of all covenant calculations and compliance certificates required by the Company's lenders.
  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of all billing and collections activities
  • Supervision of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions
  • Completion of periodic reporting for corporate, business leaders, senior executives, investors, board members and lenders
  • Supervision of the annual external financial statement audit and all ancillary audit activities (i.e. valuations)
  • Preparation of workpapers supporting the annual audit and tax returns
  • Coordination of the preparation of all required tax returns with the external tax advisor
  • Creation and implementation of policies and procedures to establish and maintain internal controls
  • Maintain overall responsibility for Netsuite
  • Research and recommend new systems to extend functionality to improve the accounting team’s efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure that all financial record systems are maintained in accordance with GAAS
  • Partner with the CFO and key stakeholders to execute pre-acquisition activities related to due diligence and integration
  • Ensure all accounting activities for new companies are successfully integrated post- acquisition
  • Partner with the CFO to complete valuation and purchase accounting of all acquired entities
  • Work with the CFO to establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Work with the CFO to design and implement improved financial reporting tools, including an executive dashboard
  • Assist the CFO with the preparation of annual (fiscal year) budget and all required updates
  • Work with the CFO to analyze working capital, cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience within high growth organizations and as a Corporate Controller
  • CPA required
  • Experience with acquisition diligence and integration
  • Experience with SaaS
  • System conversion experience
  • High degree of leadership and ability to thrive in a challenging role and high growth environment
